Beloit Welcomes Bikers!

Beloit is a beautiful riverfront community located on the Wisconsin/Illinois Stateline, in Central Wisconsin, along the I-90/I-43 corridor.  It is a friendly and welcoming destination for motorcycles.  Bikers and visitors can enjoy FREE live music along the riverfront almost every Friday night during the summer, along with festivals, museums, historical landmarks, Blackhawk Farms Raceway, Beckman Mill, beautiful parks, an award-winning downtown, Snappers Baseball, one of the largest farmers markets in the Midwest on Saturday mornings, and we can’t forget about our biker friendly bars, restaurants and hotels.

 Downtown Beloit was a stop on the route for the 18^th Annual MDA Tub Run in 2012.  The Tub Run started in June 1995 for the first time with about 200 riders. They raised $17,000 that year for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Since that first year, the South Central Wisconsin-Janesville Chapter has donated more than 1.4 million dollars to MDA. The Tub Run is second in the nation for donations to MDA in the Harley Davidson family.

A visit to Beloit isn’t complete without exploring the campus of Beloit College. Located just a block away from Downtown Beloit, the Rock River and Riverside Park, it’s easy to stroll
over to the campus during your stay. Meander the 40 wooded acres of the New England-style campus, with red brick buildings and white-pillared porches. Four of the college’s
buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Founded in 1846, Beloit College is the oldest college in continuous service in Wisconsin.

Beloit is also the starting point for your Wisconsin Highway 51 experience.   Highway 51 is the ribbon tying the North to the South, stretching from the tip of Northern Wisconsin to Southern Louisiana.  Bisecting the country, this road offers travelers a true “slice” of America.  Beloit is one of the most beautiful routes on Highway 51.
