There’s also always something special to look forward to in Beloit. We celebrate year ‘round with state and nationally acclaimed events and festivals, including Riverfest, one of Wisconsin's largest music festival and the film makers’ choice- BIFF, the Beloit International Film Festival. Our Riverfront hosts seasonal concerts, dancing, outdoor movies and family fun days. Summers are filled with Beloit Snappers professional baseball, our fabulous farmers market and music in our parks.

There's nothing quite like a lighted parade to spark off the holiday season! Live music and a choral sing warms the crowd up for Santa's arrival from a rooftop (using a little help from the fire department!) to light the 30 foot Christmas tree. Join the crowds along the curbas dozens of lighted floats wind their way through the dazzling downtown streets of Beloit.

A dazzling evening of celebration featuring artists, and specialty craftspeople in forty-plus locations as they display one-of-a-kind gifts and unique pieces of art. Carriage rides, trolley rides, live music, Santa visits, children's events and holiday treats make this a truly special evening for the entire family. The Beloit International Film Festival is being called a lot of things by film makers, from "a must attend event" to "a fly-in destination", to "the next big thing". Over 130 shorts, documentaries, and feature films are presented in eight venues throughout the Beloit area represently over 32 countries. Two-thousand miles from the shimmering lights of Hollywood, the Beloit International Film Festival adds a little glitz & glimmer to January in Wisconsin.

Rumor has it that Beloit was home to the original Indiana Jones: the world adventurer and explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. Each year the Roy Chapman Andrews Society partners with Beloit College to recognize contemporary explorers. The special award ceremony is open to the public.
